YEM’s 10 year anniversary was kicked off by a powerful ‘Night of Worship’.  I came to the program with high expectations and I wasn’t disappointed. A few seconds after the night began, I felt God tugging at my heart.

Our sister Dzifa, led us into a short but effective time of opening prayer. As we were praying, I could sense the atmosphere rise. It was obvious that we came to do more than sing, we came to encounter, surrender, and sacrifice unto God (Romans 12:1-2). We came to experience a level of change, a level of increase. And as the worship began, that is exactly what we received. We were blessed to have Minister Chris Nelson and Pastor Ryan Ofei guide us into the presence of the Lord. In addition, Pastor Benjamin Appiah directed us into a vigorous period of prayer.

We fixed our eyes on Jesus and entered into deeper realms of God’s presence through our worship. Just as the angels do, from night to day, we continued to proclaim the holiness of our God (Revelations 4:8 NIV).

Additionally, the strength to travail in prayer filled the room. Lately, I’ve felt drained and tired, but being in an environment where Jesus was the foundation and only focus, encouraged me to press deeper. It encouraged me to push past every distraction and unlock a level of prayer I haven’t experienced in a very long time.

Pastor Benjamin explained that for an increase to occur, we need to create capacity. We must be able to receive what God is providing us. Increase demands that we make room for God, and we can only increase when we encounter the presence of God.

So I encourage you today, check out the livestream from the worship night (Click here for YEMs Night of Worship Link). Tap in, cry out to God, worship Him, thank Him and exalt Him. He hears you. He is with you!  He is with YOU! He loves you and He will never leave you nor forsake you! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
